pyHPGL es una librería de python creada para enviar comandos HPGL/1 a plotters que soportan este lenguaje gráfico. La librería consiste en una serie de funciones envolventes (wrapper functions) que crean comandos con la sintaxis HPGL/1 y los escribe al puerto serial o a un archivo.
Esta herramienta ha sido desarrollada para permitir interacción en tiempo real con el dispositivo, o la creacion de gráficos ploteados a partir de la escritura de código, en un estilo similar al de processing.
pyHPGL is a Python library created to send HPGL/1 commands to plotters that supports this graphic language. The library consists in a series of wrapper functions that creates commands with the HPGL/1 syntax and writes them to the serial port or a file.
This tool was developed to allow real time interaction with the device, or the creation of plotted graphics from writting code, in a similar way to Processing.
